post I Bought Tom Green’s Camera…

tom greens videocamera

i guess this is sort of old news, but i saw Tom Green showing off his items for sale on his show “Tom Greens House Tonight” where they had a nice little Panasonic PV-GS500 for sale which i checked out on ebay and it had only 1 other bid. i eventually outbidded the other player and managed to snatch this cam up for about $350 which is nothing compared to the other ebay auctions for the same camera going anywhere from $700-1200.

if its good enough to make a TV show it should do for me anything i want. I still need to get a firewire card so i can transfer the video, but its all on the way.

in the eBay auction, Tom Green said he would sign the thing, which he never did. it also came with nothing other than the camera so i’ve had to buy a lot of th peripherals … which is a bitch.

o’well, cool videos are soon to come!

post Buck 65 with a live Symphony! Rock out!

buck

Just saw this posted a few hours ago, amazing concert! its good old buck with some symphony and very altered songs. to say the least it is worth a listen no matter what kind of genre of music you are into you will find something you like in here.

you can stream-listen to the show from a link here on CBC.

Buck 65 with Symphony Nova Scotia

Recorded: Apr. 18, 2008

Venue: Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, Halifax, NS

Genres: Orchestral, Pop/Rock, R&B/Soul

“It was something that could only happen in Halifax” says Halifax Chronicle Herald critic Stephen Pedersen. That’s because Symphony Nova Scotia is an unusually versatile first class chamber symphony orchestra, Buck 65 is a truly imaginative and creative poet and hip hop artist, and conductor/composer Dinuk Wijeratne has the imagination and skill to pull it all together – a combination of talents and attitude that you don’t often find.

The night featured arrangements of Buck 65’s hits like “Way Back When” and “Cries a Girl”, but also a CBC commission of a brand new work by Dinuk Wijeratne – a triple concerto for Cellist (Norman Adams), turntable artist Buck 65 and percussionist Terry O’Mahoney.

trent reznor was saying something “big” was to come on his blog yesterday, later that night at just after midnight he has released a entirely new album which you can download at nin.com

this is a nice suprise for sure seeing as the last album he released was great it was without any lyrics whereas this album is full of reznors voice bouncing around in some chaos of music.
